A Turlock man who died after crashing into an irrigation canal last week has been identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner's Office. Dylan Linhares, 31, was driving a Chevrolet pickup east on Harding Avenue, approaching Moffett Road on Friday morning, when the vehicle traveled off the road and sideswiped a metal pole, according to the California Highway Patrol. The impact sent the pickup in a northeast direction across the narrow levy road, onto the north shoulder, then down an embankment. It landed on its roof in about three feet of water in the canal, according to the CHP.
