The Eagles of Turlock Christian and the Mustangs of Venture Academy (Stockton) came together on Tuesday night in a battle for first place in the Central California Athletic Alliance. With a win, the Mustangs would maintain their perfect league record while an Eagles win would put the two teams in a tie. Despite the similar records, the game wound up being a blowout in favor of the Mustangs. Right out of the gate, it was the Mario Williams show. Williams, a 6-foot-4 junior guard, helped the Mustangs jump out to an early 20-5 first quarter lead.
